The start of Sean Attebury’s career began when he and his brother played in a rock band in high school. Loud, out of tune and fun is an accurate description of his initial venture into the world of performing. He started performing in local theater productions in the Washington DC area and then auditioned for the music program at George Mason University. Without being a music reader or having any classical background, he made it into the program by the skin of his teeth. He ultimately earned the Most Outstanding Musician Award graduating with a Bachelor of Music.

Relocating to New York City he broadened his career as an actor and musician performing in the city and nationwide with various companies.  While occasionally doing commercial work in New York, Sean’s primary work came from theater including City Center’s Encore’s productions. His Broadway debut was the 6 time Tony nominated “Coram Boy”. Last year, he performed the Role of Tony in the 50th Anniversary World Tour of “West Side Story” playing Paris, Vienna, Zurich and many other cities. His recent CD “Irish Tenor Songs” visits timeless classic Irish music with songs like “Danny Boy” and “Where the River Shannon Flows”.
